I really love food. Apparently, too much food can be a bad thing. I hear exercise can counteract that problem. I run so I can eat. Thus, I love to run.
The kids and me at Panera on Saturday
Charly, Aydan, and I did some shopping on Saturday, so we stopped at Panera for a snack. Aydan had a whole grain bagel with cream cheese. Charly had a …well, it was supposed to be an apple crumb muffin, but it was clearly a pumpkin muffin. I think they had the wrong sign out. But, the pumpkin muffin was good, so we didn’t complain. I thought of my cousin Heidi while I helped Charly eat it, since she had has been raving about Panera’s pumpkin muffins for a while now. ;)
Other than Panera, we stopped at the bookstore to get Mark a new study bible. We picked up a cord for our mp3 players at Best Buy. We hit Meijer and picked up a few odds and ends. And we went to Aldi for $115.00 worth of groceries. We are officially stocked up now!
When we were on the way home, Aydan and Charly both passed out pretty hard 2 minutes in to the car ride. They were pooped. They both didn’t even wake up at all when I stopped at the bank on the way home. And they were both oh so confused when we pulled in the drive. “what? where are we?” lol
It was nice being out with the kids. Peyten was still running a fever and had been pretty sick, so she and Mark stayed home and she got a good nap in.
This morning, Charly and I headed out for Sunday school. Mark was going to bring Aydan and Peyten for church as usual, but Peyten ended up throwing up and well…they weren’t going anywhere after that. I thought she was feeling better, but apparently she still had the bug in her. :(
She did good most of the rest of the day, but just now I had to go in and settle her back down to sleep. Her fever is back, so she is still fighting off what ever is plaguing her. Poor girl.
After church, we didn’t do much. Aydan and Peyten were napping and Charly was playing. I laid on the couch to rest my eyes for 20 minutes or so. I was pretty exhausted already. Well….2-1/2 hours later, Peyten slaps me in the face. I don’t remember too much before that. I do know that once Peyten woke me up…ya know, oh so gently…I felt like a heavy lump of clay that was molded in the couch. I could barely move my arms and face. I was sleeping hard to say the least. I guess my body needed it.
After that, I mosied around and we got some cleaning done. I didn’t get everything done that I wanted to, but I got some, and that is better than nothing.
Later on we gave the kids a bath and we all sat down and watched Radio Rebel on Disney. Charly had been wanting to watch it. Cute movie. By the time the movie was over, it was time for bed for the kids.
Now, I am sipping a glass of red wine and watching a Lifetime movie. So cliche, lol.
Mark isn’t feeling good, so he is off to bed. Hopefully it is just a stomach bug and not what Peyten has had.
Tomorrow is Monday and I am not sure if I am ready, but here goes….

looks like good times. Our daughters’ favorite treat is to go with us to the “coffee shop” … and the older one starts off “Lets have a conversation” which must be her favorite big word:) Oh, or Ben and Jerry’s
