I really love food. Apparently, too much food can be a bad thing. I hear exercise can counteract that problem. I run so I can eat. Thus, I love to run.

Marathon training recap

So far…

Week 1 running - 13.01 miles

Week 2 running - 11.6 miles
Week 2 biking - 10.69 miles

Week 3 running - 13.75 miles

I look forward to seeing all these numbers go up over the next couple of weeks.  Or at least, I hope they go up!

_____________

Yesterday was supposed to be a cross training day and I made it a rest day.  I just had no more umph by the end of the night.  I regret the decision now, but at the time I was just plain exhausted.

We had church in the morning as usual.  Church went a little long because I was selling Great Lakes Scrip and chatting.  Good stuff :)

Got home, had some lunch.  Then I went up to the store and picked up some stuff for Youth Group.  Before we knew it, it was time to head up to the church for Youth Group.  That went from 4-6, but of course, we were having some good discussions, so it went a tad longer and we didn’t get home until close to 7.

The kids were in dire need of hair cuts, so I got out the scissors and clippers and they each got a trim.  And then we threw them all in the tub.  After all that and a bit of clean up, we got them all in bed.  It was 9 o’clock by this time and I sat on the couch and just did not want to move.

I had planned on doing some laps in the pool, but I just couldn’t get my butt in gear.  I am sure it has more to do with crappy food and lack of water.  It was a busy day, but not a day where I should have been so depleted at the end.  If I had taken better care of my intake, I probably would have had the energy to do the swimming…or biking or running…something.  And if I had done that, I would be feeling better this morning.  Domino effect, I tell ya.

So, this is a new week.  I don’t have high hopes for lots of miles because we are traveling this weekend.  And Mon-Thurs will be a lot of getting ready for traveling, getting caught up on work, and getting the kids ready to go to Oma and Opa’s.  So, we will see what I can get done.
