I really love food. Apparently, too much food can be a bad thing. I hear exercise can counteract that problem. I run so I can eat. Thus, I love to run.

Dinner.
Great run. Now a great dinner. Boy, it can only go downhill from here.

Screw, coffee. We are having breakfast together:
1. My kids watch Airbender every morning. It is actually a tolerable cartoon. 2. I really really hope to get a run in today. Lets hope work isn’t too busy, kay? 3. Tball tonight. And then I have a coffee date. 4. Eggs and toast, you are so good. 5. It is dark and dreary out today. I kind of love it.

Sometimes lunch just hits the spot.

Work was busy today.  Steady busy.  Not really overwhelming busy.
And then tonight I got to watch Charly play softball.  I didn’t get to see Aydan because Charly’s game was moved.  Originally, I would have gotten to see both.  But, Mark said he did a great job.  And actually the whole team did great.  I guess everyone got a hit off the pitching machine, which is awesome for a bunch of 5 year olds. :)
Peyten, Charly, and I didn’t get home from the game til almost 9 o’clock.  I had eaten a light dinner, but even before the game was over, my stomach started growling.  Apparently I hadn’t eaten enough.
So, I went ahead and made a little treat when I got home for me and Mark.  It has been a long time since I have had a late night egg sandwich.  It hit the spot.  I still feel hungry…but I am going to ignore that, lol.  Crazy stomach..doesn’t know what it wants.  I am probably dehydrated.  Sitting in the hot sun for a couple hours with only one bottle of water…that wasn’t even all full.
If you weren’t sure, tomorrow is Wednesday.  We are getting closer to the weekend…ever so slowly.  No games tomorrow night, but I do have Euchre!! And that is always a good thing;)

I am not always a salad person.  But, when I am, I really enjoy them.
Romaine, Spinach, Tomatoes, Chicken (cooked with Penzeys Arizona Dreamin’ spice), and Bleu Cheese dressing.  Bread and butter on the side (I am always a bread and butter type person).
Edit:  I got two bites in to my salad (and in to this post) and Mark called me and asked me to come home.  Peyten managed to get her leg stuck in the back of a small wooden rocking chair.  She was freaking out to say the least.
With a little maneuvering, we managed to get her out.  Not without a little screaming first!  Poor girl, lol smh.  She may have a little bruising on the outside of her knee.  But, overall no damage done.
Aydan, after the whole ordeal:  “Peyten, did you feel like you were going to die?” lol…kids.

Sometimes I just want to faceplant in to my salad.

Sometimes I just want to faceplant in to my salad.

This was ridiculously tasty.  Three eggs plus the sausage, kale, and onions (minus a bit because Peyten wanted some) wrapped in to two large tortillas.  And I am still hungry.  It was the type of breakfast that makes your mouth water and you want to just keep eating it.  Alas..it is gone. :(  Mabye I will have it again tomorrow. ;)

Dinner. BBQ Pork Ribs, Baked Potato, Roasted Asparagus. That sauce is from scratch and still one of my favorites. Perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

Brought out the big bowl for lunch.  Bread and butter for dessert ;)
I realized that I haven’t been posting my food much.  I know…for me that is strange.  I have been eating…obviously, but just not quite as much.  And I haven’t “cooked” as much either.
I think my half marathon training…even as little as it was…messed with me some.  I was eating liking a champ up until two days before the race.  But, then my appetite just slowed down like crazy.  And it hasn’t really picked back up.  I know that will change.  It always changes.  And I do realize that is probably “right” when it comes to running and longer races, etc.
I just go with the flow and try to give my belly what it wants/needs.

Don’t you just love when hunger and lunch coincide? :)

Good morning, Tumblr :)
Working from home for a bit today.  So, I was able to relax a bit more and actually make myself a hot breakfast.  Peyten is sitting next to me helping me eat it (of course).
Mark had to go to see his doctor this morning and then he has a 10am appt with Charly’s principal.  There was an incident where we feel the teacher was being unfair/unreasonable.  Trying not to jump to conclusions, so I won’t say anything else right now.  We will have more details today and hopefully some resolution.
The eggs above have onion, tomato, and avocado.  So flippin tasty right now.

How did you get to be so darn good looking?
Side note:  I love cooking with cast iron.

Second breakfast?  First lunch?  I don’t know.  It is 10am and I am eating cabbage and brown rice.
But ya know, it is sooo hitting the spot.  I got to work and I am so cold and so hungry.  Yes, I am still ridiculously hungry all the time.  And yes, it is still cold in Michigan.  It is a bit annoying because it is really hard not to overeat when you are painfully starving most of the day.  I am sure it will pass soon.  I ate breakfast, which usually holds me over until lunch, but I knew there was no waiting today.  (and I do need to pick up more fruit at the store to have as snacks)
The internet was out at the church, so I ran home to get the wi-fi.  While I was there I grabbed an extra sweatshirt (so I am wearing two hooded sweatshirts right now…lol) and I grabbed the above and a container of yogurt.
The yogurt didn’t sound good since I am so cold.  But, the warmth of the above is really hitting the spot.  The cabbage was cooked up with some onions, mushrooms, herbs, and tomato sauce.  The brown rice was leftover, so I just mixed them together.
They actually go really well together.  Between that and with the amount of water I am chugging, I am sure my digestive system will be loving me! lol
