I really love food. Apparently, too much food can be a bad thing. I hear exercise can counteract that problem. I run so I can eat. Thus, I love to run.

It’s a little heavier than a salad but the Cuban panini is awesome if you like that kind of thing.
I am freezing, so I went with something hot. But, wanted salad too…so went with the Cuban on a pick 2 and got a Greek salad as well. ;)
The Cuban is really good. A lot more flavor on there than I expected! Thanks, Josh!
I managed to order my food when no one was in line. Now the line is out the door again. Great timing ;)
The Conference does box lunches on Saturday. And there may have also been blueberry pie and ice cream. :)
Next up is a Speaker at 1:30 and then the conference is over. I will pack up my room and mosey home. It was a lovely four days :)
Currently.
This is soooo hitting the spot. My first Smashburger. I’m a fan.
Plus, Vernors :)
Lunch.
Black and Bleu salad at Newk’s Cafe. 1. I’m a sucker for steak. 2. I’m a sucker for stinky cheese.
The salad was good. Not overwhelming good. I wouldn’t go back and pay 8 bucks for it again. I might go and split a salad with someone. It was huge. I didn’t even finish it all and that is saying a lot coming from me….
(came close, I was starving)
I am not always a salad person. But, when I am, I really enjoy them.
Romaine, Spinach, Tomatoes, Chicken (cooked with Penzeys Arizona Dreamin’ spice), and Bleu Cheese dressing. Bread and butter on the side (I am always a bread and butter type person).
Edit: I got two bites in to my salad (and in to this post) and Mark called me and asked me to come home. Peyten managed to get her leg stuck in the back of a small wooden rocking chair. She was freaking out to say the least.
With a little maneuvering, we managed to get her out. Not without a little screaming first! Poor girl, lol smh. She may have a little bruising on the outside of her knee. But, overall no damage done.
Aydan, after the whole ordeal: “Peyten, did you feel like you were going to die?” lol…kids.
Sometimes you have a friend from high school stop in to the church with his grand daughter to help the food pantry. And you are part of their conversation about whether it is too early to go to Subway for lunch or not. (she usually doesn’t get up until 11am, so this is early to her….she is 16)
So, after they leave, you text that friend and give him your order for Subway, as a joke.
And then he ends up actually bringing it.
Early lunch for me! ;) Veggie Delite. I did ask for it toasted…but we won’t get in to that…lol.
I do foresee two lunches in my future today. I am a-ok with that.
Brought out the big bowl for lunch. Bread and butter for dessert ;)
I realized that I haven’t been posting my food much. I know…for me that is strange. I have been eating…obviously, but just not quite as much. And I haven’t “cooked” as much either.
I think my half marathon training…even as little as it was…messed with me some. I was eating liking a champ up until two days before the race. But, then my appetite just slowed down like crazy. And it hasn’t really picked back up. I know that will change. It always changes. And I do realize that is probably “right” when it comes to running and longer races, etc.
I just go with the flow and try to give my belly what it wants/needs.
