I really love food. Apparently, too much food can be a bad thing. I hear exercise can counteract that problem. I run so I can eat. Thus, I love to run.

Homemade Granola Bars
Next time, I am going to cool the corn syrup a bit first, so all my chocolate chips don’t melt.  But, still the bars taste fantastic!  They are really more like a dessert, I think, but that is ok by me.
Oatmeal, Quaker Whole Hearts cereal, peanut butter, chocolate chips, raisins, and pecans.  For the sweetener/binding I used corn syrup, maple syrup, and a few marshmallows.  I almost put coconut in, but held back.  I definitely could have put that in, it would have been a nice touch.
The recipe I used, came from this post:http://bicycling.com/blogs/ramblingman/2012/02/16/fast-food-and-eating-on-long-rides/
It is a super easy recipe and easy to modify, etc.  I will definitely make more of these and try out different fillers.  For my next batch, I am thinking oatmeal, cheerios, peanut butter, cranberries, walnuts, and coconut.  The options are endless and they literally took ten minutes to make, if that.  (plus, cooling time)
I am going to take a couple of these puppies along for our adventure race.  We will see if they fill the hunger/energy needs.

Sometimes you need to feed a headache with a grilled cheese. Sometimes you need to take a picture of the grilled cheese. Sometimes that grilled cheese looks similar to a tiger growling. Maybe it’s just me….I don’t know.
